I stayed at this hotel during September 2008 and can highly recommend anyone to stay there.
The hotel is a 5-minute drive from Riano in the Pico Mountains. The area is very beautiful and it is easy to see why nation park status has been granted. The views of the white limestone mountains from the hotel are spectacular especially at sun set when the mountains seem to change colour. There are walks through the forests where it is very quiet except for the dear calling there is also the opportunity to explore the forest on horseback.
The hotel is family owned and extremely well run. The rooms are of a good size and very clean, the food is of a high standard and the staff make every effort to explain the menu to the limited Spanish speaker. The warmth of the welcome and the helpfulness of the staff is outstanding.
Without hesitation I recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. more
