Having read the other reviews of Arkupe on Trip Advisor we booked with our eyes open so to speak, but after spending three nights there I would struggle to find any realistic points of complaint!

The apartment was what you might call 'compact' but it was clean, tidy, cheap, big enough for me and three other lads and the staff were exceptionally helpful and plesant. Bathroom and kitchen fittings were simple but all fairly new and in a good state of repair - I've certainly lived in worse places. Other reviewers are right about the view - basically there isn't one unless your're into walls and wooden shutters, but then what do you expect from a budget room in the centre of one of the most popular areas of one of Europe's most popular cities? I went to Barcelona to see Barcelona, not look at it from my bedroom window.
