The hotel is beautifully decorated and the room was very comfortable, although the usual European small size, but there was a bath with a shower over it. When I arrived around 9pm there was only sandwiches being served in the restaurant - hot food was pizza ordered in or going out to a tapas bar. The location worked for me as I've been to Barcelona before so didn't need to stay centrally. The hotel is 5 minutes walk down the hill from the metro station Alfons X, and you can also walk down the hill to the Sagrada Familia, which would take about 10-15minutes. The neghbourhood is residential you have to walk 5 minutes to find a local shop, but very quiet and safe. The minibar in the room was well stocked with free bottles of mineral water, which was handy. more
