Was there in August with a friend first and on my own for a little while after. The hostel was great to respond to us to make sure we were in the same room (had to reserve separately given different lengths of stay).

This place is very well located, about a 5-10 minute walk to the Placa Cataluyna, just on the cusp of the Exiample neighborhood. You can access all the main touristy areas really easily, and can also venture in the neighborhood for some great restaurants. Subway station is one block away, and there are multiple buses that run also one block away and can take you either up town or downtown. Neighborhood is safe. I walked around at night (single women) and did not have any problems or concerns whatsoever.

The hostel itself is extremely clean, almost brand new. Everything is really nice, bathrooms and showers are super clean, there is a big kitchen if you want to make your own food. Rooms are also very clean, good beds and big lockers for your stuff... more
