Caledonian is a good, basic 3 star hotel which is perfectly located for a short city break. It is in a very safe neighbourhood, just beyond touristy areas, near the Universitat metro station. I am currently in the Caledonian. My room is airless and stuffy with a window that opens into an internal shaft so no breeze enters. Very conveniently situated. Not far from La Ramblas and the Gaudi houses. Good filling breakfast. Clean comfortable rooms although the pillows were a bit hard. Staff very helpful. This is the second time that I have stayed there with a group of friends and would certainly stay again. More
