We stayed for 4 nights having read the other reviews on the site. The location is really good for the Gothic Quarter. The old Catedral is only a few minutes walk away as is the Plcac De Sant Jaume. Between here and Placa de Santa Maria del Mar are a warren of little streets with great tapas, reataurants and bars.... more

This is not the cheapest option in Barcelona, and its not the easiest to find - taxis drop you on Las Ramblas, and you have to walk. My wife and I went to Barcelona for our 25th anniversary with some very close old friends, and we all loved the Duc de la Victoria. Fabulous location in the Gothic Quarter, and actually very close to La Rambla, but extremely quiet. Tasteful decor, all modern conveniences, and a friendly, efficient staff.
