I don't even know where to begin. When we arrived a day late, they insisted on charging us for the room even though we had cancelled on the phone and they had told us they wouldn't charge us! Hostal Palermo is really an Hostal, so don't go there if you're looking for a Hilton or Sheraton service. But if you wanna a budget hotel in Barcelona I think Hostal Palermo is the answer. This was very low budget. Nothing worked at all the shower the electrics the locks on the doors the beds were barely good enough to sleep in. When we got back to the UK we reaslised that they had taken more money than they should have and the extra money was to pay for damages that we knew nothing about.....wherever... more

The Hostal Palermo was great. On a quiet(ish) side street just 100 metres from the middle of Las Ramblas.
