paid eur60 for a last minute booking online. hotel is v convenient location for ramblas de catalunya and calle balmes/av. diagonal area no frills, not charming, but comfy beds and easy access. plus not being ripped off for access to the wi-fi puts these guys high on my recommendation list. think easyjet but without the bright orange, and roughshod behaviour... more

I stayed at the Medium Confort Sept 22nd - 25th 09 on a short break to Barcelona. The street and area is pleasant and safe with pavement cafes, bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity . Medium Confort is a great find in Barcelona. It has reasonable prices considering the location and the amenities. The city centre is not very near but quite easily reachable using the public transport (still requires a bit -300-400m - of walking). GOOD: - excellent staff, very nice and helpful; - room very clean; - there is a huge supermarket near the hotel; - neighborhood is very nice and safe; - doesn't look like a 2 stars hotel, it's great! BAD: - thin walls between rooms, but this was not a big problem for us. more

This is a great hotel in so many ways. It's clean, the staff are excellent and it's location isn't bad. The thing that lets it down so badly is the thin walls - you can hear people in the shower next door, with their TV on, talking in the corridor etc. more

As was written at all of the reviews, this hotel was great value for money, pleasant, clean. The location is not at the center but buses served us well and it also gives you the opportunity to meet the "un touristic" Barcelona, the regular people. stayed at this hotel for five nights on a trip to Barcelona. Hotel is in the Gracia area of Barcelona about 30 minutes walk to the bottom of the Ramblas. 10 minutes walk to the Metro.
