As has been said before was 4* when opened, is now a moderate 3* at best Good points · Location is fantastic 1 minutes walk from Passeig de Gracia & the Metro, or within easy walking access to some of the main sights and a leisurely stroll down to Las Ramblas · Staff friendly & helpful with good command of... more

This was probably a 4* hotel when it first opened, but now it's a little worn. Still, the room was clean and comfortable and the staff were excellent. Our only gripe was that we had twin beds pushed together instead of a double. more

We (my wife and I and two teenagers) had booked the HCC Regente primarily because of the roof terrace. It sounded ideal for the two days we were to stay there before heading off on a cruise from Barcelona. Unfortunately we fell foul of the HCC routine of 'upgrading' and were transferred to the HCC St.Moritz. The reason given was... more

My fiance and I originally booked the HCC Covadonga. We arrived at the HCC Covadonga about 4pm, this was after trekking it from the Hospital Clinic Metro station (which incidentally is about 15 minutes away - a bit too much especially with luggage and in 30 degrees celcius!). From the reading the reviews here, it appears that the HCC hotels... more

They put charges on my credit card that were false - do not stay here. The staff clearly lied when we questioned it. Steer clear there are plently of other places to stay in this great city. more

We stayed @ the ST. Moritz Nov 16th thru 20th. Nice hotel in a great location, close to Las Rablas and 1/2 block from Pasea de Gracia the grand shopping street. We stayed at this hotel thru a Volvo overseas delivery side trip. It is not a 4 star hotel as it is listed as one. It is a bit... more

Good location, close to metro. Bed is okay, two singles pushed together. Shower and bathroom are nice. Room was uncomfortably hot and there was no A/C because it had been turned off for the season; windows don't open. No clock in the room, and the power goes out when you leave, so don't plan on charging up any batteries or... more

We had originally booked to stay at the HCC Montblanc Hotel but on arrival were told that they had tranferred our booking to the HCC St Moritz. The carrot was a 4* hotel at no extra cost!! HCC paid for the taxi transfer. The hotel is quite pleasant although not convinced it is truely a 4* hotel. I think we... more

We stayed for 3 nights in June 2006. We booked thru go-today so breakfast was included--take a pass, it was useless (American coffee in thermal carafes! yuck!). The hotel is in a good location in Eixample, about four (large) blocks from Plaza Catalunya and we walked down to the Ramblas, Ribera, Gothic area, and to the gay section of Eixample... more

Stayed 2 nights with my wife. The best thing of the hotel is its location, near shops, Pl. Catalonia and all means of transportation you might need. Staff is friendly and helpful when required. Rooms are good in size and confort but bathrooms could have some refurbishement (they are ok, but perhaps 3 stars category). Common areas are nice, with... more
