Don't let the locals hanging around frighten you, they won't bother you, they are a mix of Spanish old timers and immigrants. We were a group of 4 women aged 30 to 55, staying in Barcelona Mon-Wed. We caught the bus from girona to barcelona then a cab from the bus station to the hotel. We booked a room for 3 people at 120-130 euros and it's GREAT. It's initially a double room but we asked for an extra bed at no extra cost. Receptionists are very helpful. Room is clean. first thing first the area is not that good second once you arrive to hotel and want to reach the ramblas go up one block and make a right in carrer carmen and never ever walk to the ramblas through lhospital street which is the side street of the local market (boqueria) and of course can be little intimidating once... more

The ABBA Hotel is a very nice hotel. Nice rooms, comfertable and modern. Good breakfast. The street towards the Ramblas was a bit shabby. more
