We stayed there for 3 nights....it was horrible!!!! The toilet were always dirty and unhygienic, it was never cleaned during the three days we stayed there. Receptionists were unfriendly and partly aggressive (an indian coworker shaked his fist at me). They wouldn't return us the full deposit of 35 EUR, yielding us only 30 EUR. This place is the very deffinition of just providing the minimum. I stayed at this hostel for two nights until I couldn't take it any longer and switched hostels. Besides the place being dingy, typical of many hostels, that staff was unbelievably rude and dishonest. I saw the staff cheat, yell, and curse at many guests. This is the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. The staff were terrible and the cleanliness and condition of the place were even worse. The hostel was ok, except for the very poor hygiene of the matresses. The Ideal Youth Hostel was quite inexpensive, so we did not expect luxury. We were surprised to find that they only accept cash, despite the fact that we booked the reservation with a credit card online. The bathroom was sub-par; the toilet stalls were quite small and both showers on our floor had broken doors. It was all functional though.... more
