On a pleasant street in the Eixample neighborhood at the corner of Valencia and Muntaner, about a ten minute walk from Placa Catalunya and very convenient to all sights via the city bus network (there are six or more bus routes that stop less than half a block from the hotel) this redone older building has very modern two-bedroom apartments with plasma tvs, newish kitchenettes, and a concierge downstairs. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance. The staff was very helpful although they didn't know much about the bus network -- but that didn't matter because each bus shelter has the full system map posted, and it's easy to figure out. The beds were typical Spanish hard beds, and the twin-bedded room was very much larger than the queen-bedded room (which was pretty tiny) but the shower was great, and this is a good choice for families. more
