The location was wonderful, easy to find, and last stop on airport bus - no guessing about where to get off. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet at night. Wonderful street sounds in the day from the narrow little street in front of the hotel. On our last morning at 9:00, a crown came off my tooth at breakfast; we... More

The location is great! The room we got was nice and very clean, also they have free wi-fi which is important since most places in Barcelona don't. The bathroom was also nice but the shower had really no preassure. The receptionists were all okay but the best one was the evening girl which gave us really good tips for eating... More

Room was clean and comfortable. Location ideal and excellent vegetarian restaurant (I never thought I would say that)in the same street. Free internet & wi-fi too. Next time I return to Barcelona I will re-book here. More

Situated very close to the touristic center of Barcelona, everything you need is never more than a short walk away from the Old Town to the beach or the city bus tour it is all there. There is the market of souvenirs on las Ramblas or the quality shops around Catalunya Square. The hotel is small but nicely decorated and... More

We loved the Hotel Catalunya. It was clean, comfortable and secure. The staff spoke English well and were very helpful in providing information on sights, transportation and restaurants. While we were there the weather was very hot and kind of rainy. Our room was lovely with the windows open and cool and comfortable when we had to close the windows... More

Basic accommodation, nevertheless, it was very clean; manned by friendly staff and nice & cool in the 30 degree Barcelona heat. More

The front desk staff, specially Sheila, was so helpful. She booked the best, most organized tour for me the date of my arrival, gave me a great tip to see a fantastic Falmenco dance just a few minutes walk from the hotel on La Rambla de Catalunya that night. The next day, she assisted me by calling a tour operator... More

It's decent and very clean. Rooms are very small and can get uncomfortable with two people, and while showers have good pressure, you spray the whole bathroom... The gym is a bit of a joke, but it has a nice turkish pool. Supposedly there is a working spa. The business center is their fortee. However, if you are here for... More

Bad experience that consisted of the hotel staff charging me and my grandmother for two double rooms instead of one. Why? A computer mistake that they blamed on us, and proceeded to tell us that "there was nothing they could do" and that "only 'the boss' could fix it", nevertheless, they had charged us for 2 rooms and only gave... I have just returned from a two night stay at the Hotel Cataluna. After reading a few reviews I was slightly anxious about what we may be sleeping in, but it was fine. Location was great. We took the Aerobus from the airport and it stopped in Plaza Catlunya. From there it was a five minute walk to the hotel.... More
