We stayed for only 1 day, but found this location well-suited for our needs, i.e. walking to Plaza Catalunya, Palau de la Musica Catalana, the magnificent fountain at park citadella, the waterfront, along the ramblas, etc. , even to Sagrada Familia. The room 103 was sufficient in size and nicely decorated with a splendid enclosed balcony sitting area. Good Bathroom... more

This is a great value for the elegant Eixample district, and is close to many sites and cultural institutions. Street is a quiet thoroughfare. Lots of character with rooms filled with antiques. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly with good dining tips. Hotel is small (takes up a floor of a larger building). Due to layout, some rooms adjoin... more

My mom and I visited Barcelona for a few days and after reading the reviews on this site, we decided to give it a try. The owners were very helpful in identifying and reserving restaurants and places to visit and we stayed in a quaint and clean room. The breakfast served was well planned and just right to begin the... more

It was nice to be so close to everything, but also feel sheltered from the busy city. They were so helpful with recommending restaurants that the locals go to dine. Breakfast was very hearty. The place is very warm and cozy. more

We stayed here for a long weekend for a friends surprise 40th birthday celebration. This isn’t your typical sort of hotel that you notice from walking past it in the street. I only found it by doing a search on the internet and now having stayed there, thought it was such a good choice. The owners were really attentive to... more

I visited this hotel mainly based on reviews I read here. The entrance is unobtrusive and you walk up to the first floor. I assume there are apartments above the hotel. I did find the room, a 'superior single' very small and dark. Several rooms, including mine, opened onto a large balcony. This means that if you have your curtains/door... more

First, we would like to thank you for your commit, we are so happy that you had a nice stay with us, and you can come back whenever you want, because you have another house in Barcelona right now. About our Hotel, we are situated in the first floor in an old eautiful building, so we did not change anything...

This hotel was lovely. The staff was kind and extremely helpful! Muhannad was awesome. The location is perfect, the room was very clean, the breakfast was special -- either on the balcony or in the sitting room. Everything was served on special china. The place has all kinds of interesting items--paintings and antiques--as an artist it was special. My room... more

Located on the Gran Via within walking distance of Passeig de Gracia, Placa de Catalunya, Palau de Musica Catalana and LaRambla. Charm to spare. Order the breakfast which is tastefully served according to your schedule in either the Salon or on the Terrace. The Staff is gracious, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Makes the Hostal feel like your home away from... more

We chose this hotel due to the good reviews but our experiences seemed somewhat different to most people's. I think those well regarded owners must have been away during our visit! The entrance to the hotel is dark and off putting and we were greeted by a maid who spoke no English, although English speaking staff were there later. The... more

We are so sorry that your stay didn't reach your expectations, But we know that we did our best with the possibilities we had. The problem of the cold water was a surprise in two of our rooms... and we appreciate that you told us immediately, and so we fixed it as soon as the plumber was here. (4 hours)....

We picked this hotel because of the reviews here and we were not disappointed. My husband is a bit of bull in a china closet and with all of the lovely things out in the open we thought we would certainly break something. It is filled with antiques and beautiful knic-knacs but we were extra careful with backpacks and managed... more

Thank you very much for the review! Yes, is true, that is better to move slowly inside if you are carrying backpacks, but is not because you can break something easily (it just have never happened!) more likely because we have collected many antic articles and maybe if you move quick you can break something from our beautiful collection for...
