We stayed two nights at this hotel while following the 2009 Tour de France. The location was excellant for the Tour and all the area sights were easily in walking distance. The staff was accomodating and helpful. Our twin room actually had 3 beds and a small sofa. the double had a nice balcony facing the street. The hotel offered... more

we were put in a back room, which had no view at all had to have the lights on all the time no natural daylight, tv had no channels, i complained and was told to mess with the aeriel myself, the room had a mini bar, but was too expensive to use and the mini fridge did not work so... more

Hotel was far better than expected after reading some of the reviews. Room was clean and functional (we'd asked for a triple and had 3 good sized single beds). Towels changed daily. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Location was great, no more than a few minutes walk to river and very good restaurants. Would definitely stay there again. more

Having struggled to find a small rustic hotel (which is our preference) I felt that it was a second best choice booking the Ultonia. However, we were pleasantly surprised having expected somewhat tired accommodation we found that the room was spotlessly clean and serviced daily (which doesn't always happen these days!). The staff were pleasant and helpful and the location... more

Stayed here just for the night because we booked late and this was the only place available for our requirements. After reading the reviews I was anticipating a nightmare...but it seems as though some people just want pure luxury wherever they go. It had the friendliest reception staff in Gerona! The breakfast was better than most places I've stayed in... more

We stayed at the Hotel Ultonia for one night in August 2008 on the way back from our summer holiday (we were flying home from Girona airport). Our first impression of the hotel was that it was shabby, tired-looking and dated. This impression was not improved when we saw our rooms! We had booked two rooms; both were old-fashioned and... more

The hotel was in a good central location ideal for the station and the old town. My main concern was it was extremely noisy from the main road on which it is situated. Constant noise from motorbikes kept us awake most of the night. The sound proofing is also inferior. We could hear the TV in one room and was... more

My wife and I stayed here for one night on our way through to Barcelona. First let me say that if you are flying into Girona to get to Barcelona and you have the time this little city is worth a look. It has a lovely old town and nice restaurants. There is also a pleasant walk along the city... more

This hotel is disgusting! It should not have any stars! It's so old fashioned and worn out! Looks nothing like the photos on any hotel site! I was afraid that I'd catch something by staying there!! Even though we were on the 7th floor we could still hear everything from the street and adjoining rooms! Air-conditioning did not work either.... more
