Couldn't fault this hotel or it's helpful staff. Stayed here in difficult circumstances when visiting a relative who had been seriously injured in an accident. The hotel is directly opposite the Dr Josep Trueta University Hospital and ideally situated for hospital visiting. The staff were brilliant, spoke good English and couldn't have been more helpful. Just returned from a 4-night stay at the Costabella while the flower festival was in full swing. We have stayed in Girona 4 or 5 times now and usually stay at one of the 4 stars but we were very pleased with the Costabella. The rooms were clean with large comfortable beds, a full bathroom and a selection of toiletries.... more

When you arrive at the hotel it looks good, in effect the location is convenient, the hotel is clean and spacious and so are the rooms. Found hotel to be very clean and friendly. Spacious uncluttered room with lovely bathroom, TV, mini bar, hairdryer, toiletries ect. Helpful and friendly staff. Short 10 min walk into Girona. The hotel was great. The staff were friendly,the breakfast was fantastic (try the ring doughnuts and the freshly squeezed orange juice) and the left over cakes from breakfast were placed in the lobby for guests to take as many as they want. Also in the lobby were free tea and coffee making facilities-so you could make yourself a cuppa whenever.... more
