Our stay in this beautiful Pension, left a lovely experience and memoirs of a warm, cozy environment, very helpful staff, charming festive season decorations, and comfortable facilities. Even at booking stage months before our arrival, Cristina, the lady who runs the place, was so helpful to accommodate to our requests. Had read previously about the notorious bells, and about a... more

After reading all the reviews, I think we expected more. Best location in the heart of medieval Girona. Nice continental breakfast, very lovely staff, walking distance of the bus station from airport (up steep hill). The rooms were small and lacking for the price--tiny bathroom, shower. We wish we'd stayed in the cheaper 4-star place outside town and taken the... more

The Bellmirall is a beautiful, quaint little hotel/Pension in the middle of the historic centre - right next to the Cathedral. Room was spotless, with nice furnishings. Great location for exploring Cathedral, St Felue and city walls. We used Girona as a base for visiting both Figueres for the Dali Museum (20 mins on the train, around €4) and Barcelon... more

This isn't a Welsh conspiracy, but like the last post we also chose the Bellmirall on the basis of Tripadvisor and the ever dependable Rough Guide. It lived well up to expectations - a small, spotlessly clean hotel with lots of character and a friendly welcome in a great location. Our room was quite small but had everything we needed... more

Thanks again to the dependable, insightful recommendations of the Rough Guide and Lonely Planet this was an easy choice, and such a gem to find after meandering wide-eyed up the hilly, cobbled, medieval streets of the old town. The owner is an 80-year old artist, according to the lady who welcomed us, who had such a warm demeanour herself. As... more

Stayed 2 nights in August 08. Paid 75 euros per night for two people in a double room. + Run by two very friendly and English-speaking women who on check-in gave us a map of the city and recommended restaurants. + Very nice & relaxing communal living room (tho we were the only ones using it on our stay) with... more

This B & B is simple, clean, cheap and very well located. The breakfast is a little bland but what it lacks in excitement it makes up in quantity! The owner and related staff are all very nice and polite. Girona is not somewhere to visit if you have any problems with hills or walking, so Bellmirall isn't either. You... more

I can't imagine a better setting to explore the mideval part of the city. Flew in from Chicago to meet up with a Brit friend, entirely reserved by word of mouth, rep and a phone call months before. Everything was spotless, orderly and efficient. Atmospheric, comfy, a breakfast that could last you til late afternoon... all for 60E a night!... more

The location of Bellmirall is unbeatable! Just a few steps away from the charming Jewish quarter, cathedral, & art museum. The pension is tiny, just 7 rooms, and our room was also very small but the place has a lot of character. The staff were very welcoming & helpful and breakfast is quite nice. We had meals at Cal Ros,... more

In a 17th Century building in the heart of the old town. Yes, there is the sound of not one, not two, but 3 different churches sounding their bells. But it's a pretty unforgetable experience. Much better than the hotels in the more modern part of town. A beautiful garden for breakfast. more
