We stayed for 4 nights & have just returned. Positives - odd but interesting decor in reception rooms; our room was huge (about 550 square feet, 2 big rooms, separated by double doors) with high ceilings & large balcony. Stayed here again for 1 week mid August 2009. This must have been the 4th time we've stayed at the Terramar, and yes there were some pleasant surprises: new beach chairs, beach club (just in front of the hotel), vending machines on different floors, animation (live music, ...). Ok before I criticise I need to explain that I stayed here for three nights with my girlfriend . The cost was approximatley €80 for the room for the night with breakfast and evening meal included for two...so can I really complain I guess not. I've been visiting Sitges for more years than I care to remember but it was not until September 2008 that I stayed at the Terramar for the first time despite many years of wondering what it was like. I tend to go for the the cheap and cheerful option when visiting Sitges so assumed the Terramar was beyond my budget... more

Although this hotel is just off the busy Sitges area and actually nicely placed, it has really seen its days. The rooms had been decorated but the rusty fence of the balcony has been painted over so many times that leaning against it might be dangerous, the plumbing is ridiculous as you will surely hear every toilet run of any... more
