Good hotel. One of the major problems in this city is parking a car. Nowhere to park on the streets. The hotel has underground parking 7E. You can walk to the downtown area. About 15 minutes. The Hotel Astari was very clean and comfortable. Our rooms were to the rear, with balconys overlooking a good pool and the sea in the distance. Great hotel, good value. Excellent swimming pool. Staff were very helpful. A great cafe, the Amanecer, just round the corner. Used it for breakfast and lunch on way back from beach.Owners very friendly. Bus just outside hotel takes you into town. more

A very nice place to stay for a weekend. The hotel itself is quite nice. The rooms are comfortable - decent size bed, tv, aircon, mini bar (quite reasonably priced) and ensuite. We visited Tarragona in June 03 for the weekend. It is a good 10/15 min walk from the centre. Rooms comfortable but not exceptional. Our room looked out over an empty building plot, apparently soon to be developed - almost certainly by now, so the view may be even worse.
