Hostal Linar is located in a quiet street that intersects La Coruña's main pedestrian street, so it's near lots of shops and restaurants, and about equidistant from the old part of the city and the newer suburbs. The bus to and from the city's airport stops near here and the location is good for touring on foot.
Of the two times I've stayed there, both times the rooms were small but comfortable, perhaps in need of some paint but certainly good value for money. The room shown here had a skylight that let in ocean breezes early in the morning - delightful. My only concern, to some extent, would be security; the hotel staff also work in the restaurant, and on occasions the tiny reception desk on the ground floor will be unattended for a long time - so if you go out for a stroll and there's no one behind the desk, keep your key in your pocket.
