A great looking place from the outside and lots of character inside. The rooms are clean, a decent size and the beds are comfortable. A lot of pilgrims stay here and breakfast, which is a bit basic but adequate, can be a bit chaotic. An ideal location in the centre of the old city. A bit noisy if there are... More

This atmospheric former convent offers basic, comfortable accommodation. The rooms are verging on Spartan in terms of their décor, but are nonetheless stylish and relaxing. The breakfast buffet is included in the price of the room, and a good range of fruit, cereals, cold meats, cheese and cake is offered. Very nice place to finish up in after your camino... More

These accommodations are a one star at best. The good it is extremely clean & surroundings are quite. The room has no tv, telephone, bath mat, multi-use soap/shampoo dispenser limited outlets. Looks & feels like a convent bedroom. From the entry door it is quite a walk to reception. Breakfast was minimal. Reception staffed with one person early morning for... More

You can't get nearer to the Cathedral for a nights sleep unless you sleep in the square. This is a converted monastery so the rooms are basic but comfortable. The breakfast was good but basic. Location is the best feature.

It was great to discover that at the end of our Camino, our hotel is just across from the Cathedral! Our room (for three) was spacious and roomy, with two lovely windows with wonderful views across the valley towards the hills. Great big fat old style radiators, perfect for getting warm after a morning walking in the rain. We were... More

I can't really say much to add to the previous revews Even after reading the reviews, it was a bit of a shock so find that it really is an ex Monestary! Excellent location, rooms, service, breakfast, wifi and brilliant value Possibly my favourite hotel ever - certainly for the price!

Wow! Having walked the Camino for the last 5 days to arrive at the Cathedral and turn around with your back to the Cathedral and to see my hotel, it was the second best sight (only second to the Cathedral of course). It is so close to the Cathedral. I requested a view of the mountains beyond (not facing the... More

The monastery was initially built around 900 AD and rebuilt in 16th century. The hotel rooms are converted monk residences. It's like reliving a medieval monastical life. The rooms are very simple, a bathroom, a bed, a table, a closet, and nothing else, which is exactly what you need in a place like that. It's insanely quiet at night and we slept... More

This hotel is exceptionally placed in Santiago de Compostela immediately across from the Cathedral and in the midst of the old town and the University. They provide a generous breakfast and reasonably priced lunch and dinner. New bathrooms, and very clean rooms. No TVs, slow Internet which only available in public spaces. No carpeting, which means you hear every sound... More

I stayed for 4 nights here after completing the Camino de Santiago. Two nights in 55 euro a night accommodation which was basic, very clean but well appointed, and two nights in 23 euro accommodation (including breakfast) which was clean but very basic. The staff were very helpful and the meals great value for money. I guess when one has... More
