Upon looking around for cheap hotels in Gib, went with The Cannon as it was the cheapest at £48 for a twin room.Stayed there for 2 nights. Found the hotel staff all very polite and helpful, we arrived well before check in and they kept our suitcase safe so we could go arund the town. Room was clean and basic,... more

This place is the pits! Our room was plain and pokey, poorly decorated and noisy (not only due to the late opening bar a couple of doors along the street, but also the thin dividing walls). The limited furniture was falling apart, and the towels provided were threadbare. The shared bathroom had mould on the ceiling, and fittings such as... more

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel for quite a few years and to be honest we have seen it deteriorate badly. The hotel wants a complete refurbishment, painting, decorating and some new furniture. The courtyard area used to be lovely to sit out in nice weather but it now looks dirty and could do with a really... more

This hotel is awful. We paid extra for 2 en-suite rooms. The rooms themselves were dirty, On arriving in the room the blankets were stained and the floors dirty. The bathrooms were not very clean and all in all this hotel needs a very comprehensive refit. The breakfast was ok but again utensils, kettle etc were not very clean. more

Rooms are basic and due to design and bars beneath it can be noisey and that was in a rainey January. It needs some T & C and with attention could be much smarter. That said the beds were clean, firm but comfortable. The en-suites were basic and would not always please many people as could have been a lot... more

On arrival in our room found the electric fan was broken, there were holes in the towels and the curtains would not pull back properly. The reception area did not appear to be very clean and the carpet on the stairs felt sticky underfoot The breakfast was okay but the sausages appeared to be the cheapest available and had no... more

Do not know what to say about this hotel! £49 for twin room sounds very good and pictures on internet look lovely. But once you get there is hardly anything to be happy about. Their website says its newly refurbished rooms but unfortunately they probably have not updated their website years. Rooms look tired and worn out! Noone cleans your... more

For 33 pounds a night in Gibraltar for a single room with shared bathroom and breakfast this was okay. The hotel is in a great location by the main street, though not easy walking distance from the airport. The service was indifferent. The hotel is typical of the area in that it is laid out around a central courtyard. This... more
