Reading some of the reviews before I went to the hotel I was convinced it was going to be a bit of a dive. Well I'll tell you now they must of been to a different one that I went to. True its decor was dated but it wasn't dirty or smelly, it was clean and functional just as you... more

I'm pleased to say I was more than pleasantly surprised at my stay at The Queens Hotel. The first thing that struck me was the welcome. The children and I were made instantly at home and welcomed by people for whom nothing was too much trouble. The stay was comfortable, the view from my front room fairly spectacular and the... more

Based on other reviews, the hotel was better than expected. We found staff friendly, prompt with breakfast and keen to help. It seemed a bit pricey for what it was - but maybe that is Gibraltar? Don't know? We only ended up there as passing thru to another destination. Bottom line: it did the job more

As we mostly do, it was roll into town and look at 3 or 4 properties and pick the one which best suits our needs, which in this case was Queen's. Travelling with teenagers is tricky in Europe as 2 rooms are usually required. At Queen's it worked out well as we got 2 large adjoining rooms with a total... more

I have often stayed in Gibraltar over the years and sampled most of the Rock's hotel offerings. I like may others have recently had to tighten the purse strings so this trip I was looking for a good value centrally located hotel and chose the Queens. Considering the price I believe the hotel to be great value compared to the... more

How do I even begin - Well, I guess from the beginning. First of all - just like anything else in Gibraltar - the location is always good. As soon as I arrived, they force you to pay up front - I figured it was just a tourism thing. NO - it is because you haven't seen the room yet.... more

This is without doubt the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.We should have been on our guard when we awere asked to pay on arrival. The hotel and rooms are scruffy and the decor is apalling. If you are asked to pay in advance ask to see your room first. more

As said by others, the place could do with a lick of paint - but apart from that it was fine. We had nice sized rooms with balcony. The hotel was at the far end of town, making it a stroll to get to most shops and bars - although there was the hotel bar and another one directly opposite.... more

The receptionist was helpful enough but not overly friendly. The room was really dated, bare walls, a single bed and a small tv. The room, the staircase and reception seemed like it had not been redecorated in at least 20 years. There was peeling paint in the staircase walls. The tiles were falling off the side of the bath. The... more
