We stayed four nights in May and can't forget the great experience we had in this hotel. Two minutes from the Palacio Real, two seconds from La Gran Via, Puerta del Sol, etc. Ideal for our family. It's clean, confortable and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. The view from our room was amazing, and it was always quiet... More

I have just returned from this hotel and after staying for two nights I can say that, having read some of the previous reports, I was very pleasantly surprised. As many reviewers have said, it is ideally located, with good transport links via the Metro system to the airport and main train station. There are very many restaurants in the... More

We spent 4 nights here, and picked Espahotel because of: (1) the location - about one block from the Plaza de Espana station; and (2) the cost - about 242 euros. We stayed in room 901, which has a double bed. The room itself is pretty basic, and it's nothing flashy or fancy... but the bed is comfortable and housekeeping... More

This hotel is situated near the Gran Via, one of Madrid's important and lively hotspots. Although the Plaza Espana itself had better days the hotel helps you to enjoy the real spanisch way of living not forcing you to only spend time with other tourists. Madrid has a perfect metro system which you can enter just outside the hotel. The... More

Hi, I have just returned from a trip to Madrid and can confirm that the hotel has a very good location- Gran Via is their main boulevard (crowded at all times), really close to the metro Station Plaza de Espana. You can get from the airport to the hotel by using the metro. The rooms are pretty nice except for... More

We booked a room at this hotel for my Christmas holiday 2010. The hotel is located in the heart of Madrid near the main shops and theaters. The hotel is clean and the service is good. The rooms have a good size plus a small kitchenette so you can save money if you want to keep some snacks in the... More

I was pleasantly surprised. When you pay only 60 Euros, I do not have high expectations. If you want a Marriot, pay the $200 Euros and enjoy the comfort. Our room was plenty large, had a desk and sofa, tiny but functional kitchen, excellent bathroom with great hot shower. Close to Metro, and short walk to Plaza Callao and Puerta... More
