In all honesty the hotel deserves a rating of "good" especially because of its location: just two blocks from main metro station; in a lovely and elegant area of town with all the designer boutiques; and ideal to reach any part of the city within 4-5 metro stops. The hotel, however, did not provide for a bar and the room... More

We had a two night girlie weekend, brilliant value for a triple room 40 euro each a night, In a lovely quiet district, so great to stay there but to go out and get into the thick of it , 5mins walk to metro then 3 stops to centre and about 6 euros back in taxi, It is basic and... More

This hotel was in a great location, the Salamanca district of Madrid, which is full of very high quality restaurants and shops. It is close to the metro and a 5 minute walk from Retiro Park which is a wonderful park with a lake and very pleasant to walk around. The central tourist area of Madrid, Sol, Plaza Major etc.... The hotel is located not far from several subway stations, which makes it easy accessible from the airport (approx. 30 mins) and huge shopping street is also only around the corner. The hotel itslef is great! Nice architecture - design meets age - and it has very clean rooms. Even though I was given a smokers room, there was no... More

Room wasn't as booked. So we were moved...just about and begrudgingly by the rude staff. That room was right by the lifts so noisy. The jacuzzi didn't work, nor did the TV or the iPod/Radio in the room. Not very high tech. If we'd paid 50 Euros a night this would have been fine but not for 100 Euros. Would... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in July with two young children. The hotel is full of character and style with large clean rooms and swish bathrooms! I found the staff to be very helpful and the free dvds for our 2 year old was a nice touch. We got a good deal for the room online and so thought... More

Pros; For most part the hotel design is very interesting in design with glass walled bathrooms and but not much privacy for a large family. I ended up using the lobby bathroom for most part. But I got a great deal for 100euros a night for a family of four. Free wi-fi, and laptop in your room was nice. I... More

Overall, a three star hotel- a clean, quiet hotel located in the Salamanca neighborhood, just a 5 minute walk from the northern tip of Retiro Park- for 120 euros/night. Having access to a computer with internet might override the poor, poor customer service- and make it worthwhile to stay here. We stayed here after a horrible experience at a hotel... More

If you are thinking of staying here - DON'T. The problem is a night club across the road open until 6am in the morning, Thursday to Saturday. While I was there, we had a street brawl with at least ten youths fighting on the street in front of my room. Every night from Thursday to Saturday the club would have... More

If I spend 130 Euro a night I expect more and have seen better options. I'll start with the good things: - interestingly designed rooms with glass walled washroom - acceptably clean - quaint, upscale neighbourghood - nice restaurant across the street The bad: - Very very noisy - beware of this hotel if you need your sleep! garbage trucks...
