Room: ===== The room in 1st floor was clean and with clean air: no smoking, no smell. The illumination was manifold and functioning. The room has its history but is refurnished to a good state. Bed: ==== The bed is very comfortable for me. And there is not even a breeze of noise if you turn around from one side... More

Hotel is located ok quite central but not the best area in town. Hotel had hot water problem which meant I had to shower with cold water 3 times in a 2 night stay. Got discount 50% for the first night but only after asking. Service is friendly and helpful. Bathroom was not very clean. Beds where good. Nice terrace. More

Staying two night at this hotel, I was positively surprised with the nice room, excellent breakfast and good working internet (for work). Small negatives were the absence of a bath in the double room, low shower pressure on 5th floor and expensive car parking (€30). More

Fantastic location. In front of Metro "Santo Domingo" Station. 1 minute walking from Gran Via and just a few minutes walking from Puerta del Sol and other city centre atractions. The Hotel is divided in two blocks: "A" block is still old, rooms have inadequate and old furniture and Air conditioning still missing in all rooms. "B" block is more... More

We spent 3 nights at this hotel in Sept. 2011. The hotel was undergoing what I would consider a major renovation at the time. The food and room were okay but the room we stayed in meant it was 2 separate lift rides to reception and a 'rabbit warren' to get there. As a Building Consultant I was concerned about... More

This hotel is currently under reconstruction, it has a more modern building with "superior" rooms and an old part. The old part is being renovated while they are letting people stay in the same part. This, in itself, is unacceptable. I was on a business trip with a group of colleagues and we all had to stay in the same... More

We stayed 2 nights in a standard room and 2 nights in the much more expensive corner room. Location was central and within walking distance to transport and all the inner city attractions. Rooms where basic and did not have tea and coffee making facilities, The rooms where perfectly clean , beds where very comfortable and staff attitudes mixed from... More

Had a standard room, but am not sure to which "standard". The walls were so thin that Ifelt like having the head in the bowl when the neighbour used the toilet. Toilet paper in the bathroom was simply stacked on a chair in the bathroom, no holder. WiFi was awfully slow. Definitely not the Mercure standard I am used to.... More

I choose this Hotel because of location and supposed quality of the Hotel. But I was very disappointed. The hotel still in renovation, the rooms are not compatible with the supposed quality. I change the rooms 3 times, I didn't change for the 4th time because I leave Madrid. Although all the staff was nice food quality reasonable I do... More
