We stayed at the hotel during a semi-organized tour of Madrid, i.e. most of the days we were supposed to tour by bus. Since we also had other plans we often went to Madrid, using the Metro (less than 10 min. walk). Tip: for an extended stay make sure you purchase a combined ticket for several rides.
