This hotel was in an excellent location. Rooms were clean and bathrooms modern with a good shower and plenty of piping hot water. We booked 3 rooms for 7 people. 2 doubles and 1 triple. We stayed for three nights and were not impressed. Located close to Discos, Friday and Saturday nights impossible to sleep. Also, there is no free shuttle to airport as we were lead to believe. We've now stayed at this hotel four times and are still very pleased with it. This time we had a room on the 5th floor with a spacious balcony, which was perfect in the warm weather. This hotel was ideally situated near to many restaurants, coffee shops, tapas bars and shops. Metro less than a five minute walk, making it a good base to discover and explore Madrid. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was extremely clean and breakfast was enjoyable. more

The location of the Carlos V is very good. It is a side street off the main square Peuto del Sol.
