This hotel is in a great location, right off Gran Via and very close to the major sight seeing areas of Old Madrid. I was also very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the new fixtures and decor. I travel a lot for work and stay in hotels every week. I usually don't expect much from the hotel... more

We stayed in this hotel between 21-25 October; from the reviews I was a bit apprehensive however we really liked the hotel and the staff were very helpfull. The hotel is on Gran via steps away from the metro station; so convenient. We stayed in non-smoking room on the 5th floor in twin bedded room because a double room was... more

Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, beginning of october. The reception team is no friendly and they want to do with guests as fast as they can (my feeling). My room was incredibly small and there were pieces falling on the ceiling. My bag almost didn't fit in there. The elevators are definetely unique; they should be on guiness... more

Stayed at the arosa on 3 October for 3 nights. Hotel in good location, on a side street off the Grand via. Had a reburbished room which was nice, with good bathroom, and balcony. Madrid fab city. Stay away from drinking in the Plaza Major as it costs a fortune. Good bars and tapas bars around the Plaza Santa Ana... more

Great rates in excellent location, booked 3 nights for 50euro/night on expedia, spacious enough with a small balcony, free wifi, desk, brand new bathroom, wooden flooring, perfect for business, i got the same rates as somebody staying 20km out of the centre, would stay there again, ask for one of the new, refurbished rooms. if you're looking to spend a... more

My husband and i stayed at the Arosa for 4 nights recently. We'd booked online for a non-smoking room with a view, and the first room they tried to give us was room 301 on the 3rd floor. It was a newly refurbished room, BUT it was dark, and it smelled heavily of smoke. We went back to the reception... more

I booked this hotel for a 1 night business trip in Madrid. I took the train from Barajas (Madrid Airport) to Gran Via which is a stones throw from the hotel. The train trip takes about 45 minutes and you have to change train twice but it is very easy and only costs 2 euros (compared to 30+ euros for... more

I stayed here Sept 2009 for 3 nights. Although this hotel is very basic, it is clean, a good value and excellent location on the busy Gran Via. I booked this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews and everyone is pretty much right on. If you are looking for a hotel just to sleep and in a good location -... more

Stayed 3 nights in this hotel and I can't think of a better location for those looking to do sightseeing, shopping and bar crawling. Metro station is 2 blocks away, internet cafe, everything you can think of. The reception staff and porters were very helpful. The only downside is housekeeping, as I had to call reception at 10 pm to... more

Booked this hotel through expedia and got a really good price for it... Staff were all helpful, they helped us with airport information and were generally nice.. Room was great considering we got it so cheap, had air con and TV and a safe in the room... Location was great, was just off Gran Via and walking distance to everywhere... more
