Our first time staying in Madrid, my wife and I selected this hotel for it's location. We stayed 3 nights and used 2 rooms since we had 4 in our party. We had rooms on the third floor, which only has 4 rooms total, so it has the potential to be very quiet. The rooms were nicely decorated, ie. laminate... more

The Arosa is very centrally located in Madrid, and an excellent value for a clean, modern hotel in such a location. Our price (prepaid at around $100/night) included the buffet/continental breakfast each morning. Fairly simple, but the food was decent and coffee plentiful. Our only complaint was a very hard mattress, but I suppose that's to be expected in some... more

Conveniently central and despite the following comments on noises was an adequate, comfortable short stay hotel. Reception staff efficient and requests for extra linen and a coffee maker were speedily responded to.. Two lifts, one tiny and claustrophobic. Breakfast very good, catering for international guests eg chopsticks available. Room small but adequate and clean - but,oh dear, it needed soundproofing,... more

The Arosa is located a half block from Grand Via, a major thoroughfare and shopping street. It's convenient to two subway stations (Grand Via and Callao) and walking distance to Plaza Major and the Chueca barrio. There are many restaurants in the neighborhood, including a McDs and Starb. In fact, one of the benefits of staying in this area is... more

The location of this hotel is very central and is easy walking distance to major sites and a Metro stop is one block away. However due to its central location, there is heavy pedestrian and car traffic all around, thus making it a bit annoying when arriving and departing. The staff is helpful. The morning breakfast buffet actually has food,... more

We stayed here in the middle of December, and upon check-in we asked for and were given a non-smoking room. It was neat and clean, and importantly in the winter, warm. The bathroom was modern and had very good water pressure and hot water. The only minor drawback was that there were only three English language tv channels. As for... more

Even though we booked Hotel Arosa through AAA, we did locate and select it ourselves on the Best Western web page. We are BW Gold Crown club members. The wife and I were on our way to South Africa (SA) and wanted somewhere to stop over to rest ourselves. The direct flight to SA was just too long (around 18... more

Nice reception and friendly staff, breakfast buffet uninspiring, but worst of all the Rooms, we were in a twin with a street view 5th floor. There was evidence of damp, the bathroom was tiny and worst of all electrical plug point of which only one usable was coming out of the wall, very unsafe. I would not stay here again... more

This hotel is in a great location, right on Gran Via, so ideally placed to visit all the main areas of the city. The rooms are perfectly acceptable, and the bar and restaurant (we had breakfast included) very pleasant. The triangular lift is big enough for 4 and needs to be experienced. Overall a very nice hotel in a great... more

Despite its billing, this is no "four star." The walls are paper thin - we could hear talking and the hair dryer very clearly in the adjacent rooms. Our first room was next to the elevators and very loud in the morning as people came and went in the hallway. An electrical panel in the room made a terrible ringing... more
