Very old fashioned Sofitel but not very luxurious. Location behind plaza Espana is just perfect and all the staff at reception is extremely helpful. But the rooms are worn out, bathrooms aren't great, breakfast is nothing special and you never feel like you are in a 4 star property. Got a great rate compared to comparable 4 stars in the area. This hotel is an easy walk from the Ventura Rodriguez metro station and a 5 minute walk from the Plaza de Espana. The area is not sketchy as another poster said, it's quiet at night as there is not a whole lot of activity in the area immediately... more
