This hotel is in a perfect situation for exploring Madrid. Walking distance to the Gran Via , Puerta del Sol and Royal Palace . There is no way this hotel should have a 4 star rating. The reception staff was unhelpful, unprofessional and unsmiling (apart form the bell-boys). The hotel was convenient if you wanted to stay near the Gran Via. As it was for only one night, it was reasonably priced and had an Airport Shuttle service, we chose this hotel. Had I known that the Gran Via was akin to Times Square of the 70's, I would have chosen a less "exciting" part of the city.... more
