There were some postive and negative aspects to my stay at this hotel. We stayed here twice during my stay in Spain (as we flew in and out of Madrid). When we first arrived at the Moderno we thought it simple and plain but soon realized that was its endearing attraction - it does the simple things well. The staff were pleasantly helpful, the rooms while smallish were more than adequate and cosily comfortable, the breakfasts were bountiful and appetizing.
