Cason del Tormes barely deserves three stars. The location is excellent, and the service is nice, but apart from that, del Tormes is very average. Room was cold, dated and not very charming. Wireless will cost you 5 euros for 24 hours, which I think is ok. Other reviews emphasize the thin walls, they're quite right. more

Hotel Cason Del Tormes is an excellent little hotel at the top of the Gran Via .The staff are friendly and speak good English and very helpful for information and advice. Cason del Tormes is a well located hotel just 5 minutes walk from the Royal palace , Grand via and Plaza Espana , It is located on a little road off the Grand via with not much traffic as its a one way only street and has a dead end at the bottom. Very well located for the Grand Via, Plaza de Espana, Royal Palace, and Opera, this is a friendly, functional large hotel. The room was large, if a bit dated, with a large and pleasant bathroom. The staff were very polite and helpful, and it was a good-value stopover for a short stay. more
