I've been twice in this hotel in 2001 and 2002 and it was lousy. It needs a good renovation. The chair was broken (in the two rooms I have experienced) and the furniture was worned out as was the bathroom. On the other hand, rooms have a good size and the location is fine. This 4 star hotel should have been rated at about 3 really. It was very shabby, and actually doesn't look as though its been refurbished since the 60's. actually, its decor reminded me of something out of the film The Shining, very eerie!my bed linen was thinning, the bed was probably older than me! Four of us stayed in this hotel at the end of April 2002, in two rooms. It was hot - 25º / 30º Celsus - and without air condition in the whole hotel it was mostly unpleasant. After complaining at the front desk, they moved us from the 7th floor to th 3th, saying it was fresher, but it wasn´t.... more
