Stayed twice while in Spain. First night upon arrival in Madrid and liked it enough to stay the last night before leaving. Comfortable, Clean rooms, 5 minutes from Airport, Free Airport Shuttle(Although one should call (--) upon arrival-50 cents from payphone in the terminal-They will send the shuttle to get you), Staff spoke English, some were somewhat rude but others... more

I had a 6 am flight and was looking for a hotel near the airport that offered free shuttle service to the airport so that I wont have to take a cab at 4 in the morning. Through some research I came across this hotel. I had heard of Sol Melia properties and thought that as a chain this must... more

I have used this hotel on several occasions when I have an early flight from Madrid airport. In general I prefer the Madrid Airport Novotel, but the Tryp DIana has a few advantages: namely a shuttle which allows even very early flight to be caught, room service until 4:00 and affordable room rates. It certainly isn't luxurious, but the bar... more

The hotel has a nice lobby and great towels and bathroom, but the staff is not helpful and down right hostile. I requested a wake up call and reserved a spot on the airport shuttle the night I checked in, they did not do the wake up call. They would not negotiate the rate to make up for the fact... more

Did not stay at hotel but got lost on my way from Metro station going to my hotel around midnight. Had two small children and went into hotel to ask front desk to call cab. Front desk person said cab was called but cab never showed up. Front desk was not sympathetic at all and I personally don’t think they... more

We got to airport at 11pm, and I called the hotel for a shuttle at 11:20. The shuttle did not show up until 12:30am. The hotel did not answer my calls, so I couldn't figure out why it took the shuttle 1 and 1/2 hours to get there when they claimed the hotel is less than 10 minutes away. When... more

Stayed in hotel for two nights in March before coming back to US. We had rented a car and found the hotel extremely difficult to find. Called the hotel several times and stopped to ask on the way another several times. We are pretty good at following directions but it was quite difficult just getting back to the hotel on... more

Made last minute reservation and cost only $64/night through online hotel booking service. Hotel staff was efficient, room clean and great value. If I had to stay in a hotel like this for the rest of my travels at this price I would do it. Downside is EXPENSIVE internet and did not use. Also, directions from Metro stop very poor.... more

On the early evening of my arrival, I asked to hotel desk whether they had a place to store luggage after checking out the next morning, they told me no. So, I paid for another day's stay at the hotel just to have my luggage stay in the room while I was out touring Madrid (my flight wasn't until 11:30... more

Tryp Diana is perfect for an early morning flight from Madrid. Less than 5 minute walk from last stop on the #5 metro, plus free, 5 minute shuttle to the airport. Hotel is in quiet neighborhood. Large rooms, comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Typical hotel food at acceptable prices. Service was friendly and English was well understood. Last minute pricing through... more
