Stayed here for one night on a business trip at the end of January. Hotel is in a great location in the heart of the City, just 2 minutes walk from the Gran Via & Plaza Espana. Despite being so centrally located, I did find my hotel room fairly quiet, it did help I was located on the top floor... More

I am one of four girlfriends that take an annual weekend city break around end Jan. This year we chose Madrid & I was faced with the daunting task of selecting the hotel. Given the fact that my friends are quite particular about the accommodation we stay in I spent a lot of time on the research and selected this... More

I stayed two nights a the Melia Madrid Princesa and it was a great experience. The hotel has a really "cool" feel throughout the property. The lounges are nice and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially to a non-spanish speaking American! I will definitely stay here again. More

I stayed here on business last week for a couple of nights and it was very compfy. I have to say it looked like a 1960's office block on the outside but probably a 4* on the inside. There rooms were very nice and the beds compfy. The staff were very helpful. I also went to El Club Allard for... More

I loved my room, and the bathroom was very luxurious! My room was very funky, stylish, and beautiful. The hotel was lovely. The location was great in Madrid. The staff was fairly friendly. I had trouble with my window and a maintenance person literally came within a minute from my call to the front desk. It was a good stay... More

Overall I was satisfied with my weekend stay, despite a very bad late check-out experience. I chose this hotel for its unbeatable central location - a mere ten-minute-walk to Plaza de Espana and Gran Via. Metro station "Ventura Rodriguez" is directly under the hotel while both stations "Arguelles" and "Plaza de Espana" are very close nearby. Booked my stay on... More

This was my second stay this year at Princesa and although it has its little flaws it is ideal for a quiet comfortable stay close to the action in Madrid. Location is safe and central. There is a metro station just at the corner of the hotel. Bus stop is in the middle of the block. No reason to take... More

Renovated in an unusal somewhat 'over-the-top' modern style with eccentric lighting scheme; small rooms with nice bathrooms; staff were pleasant. We stayed over New Year period and very little information was available from the hotel about openings/closings of restaurants and so on in Madrid which made planning difficult. Hotel pool was closed New Years day due to the 'holiday' which... More

Melia is located in the heart of Madrid, close to everything I wanted to see, I only had on day to see as much as possible of Madrid as part of my business trip. Rooms are clean, seems recently renovated, good amenities, limited selection of TV channels, good room service and friendly staff and concierge. Will stay there next time. More

The good - location next to metro and on avenida princesa. The bad. Noise was incredible. Howling wind if it was blowing. Unbelievable traffic noise. Difficult to sleep even with ear plugs. Bad design. Someone should have reined in the interior designers as design trumps functionality and sense. Glass doors on bathroom meant noise and lighting shared with the room.... More
