Great staff, comfortable and clean rooms, perfect location. Only problem encountered was the very nasty smell on lobby and halls. They need to do something with their sewage system. The smell gets worse at night. If it wasn't for this problem the hotel would be perfect and I would recomend it to friends. Hope they improve on this soon. more

We are currently staying at this hotel for one night and found a secret hotel deal on Last minute. The rooms are very nice however we have just gone down to use the swimming pool advertised on their website as a service so assummed this was part of the package. When we got there we were informed we would have... more

Booked hotel on line from Canada so was not sure of what to expect. Arrived early and were pleasantly met by friendly staff and booking in early was not a problem. Found the room to be exceptionally clean and modern. The design of the room was efficient as the small space was expertly used. Flat screen TV with CNN in... more

We booked this hotel as a hotel/flight combo and were not disappointed. The location was perfect (at least for us). We were able to take the metro (2 euro per person) to the hotel in about 30 or so minutes. We took the pink line to the blue line to the yellow line. Sounds complicated but was really easy. Ventura... more

The title of the review says it all. I echo a few sentiments that were expressed in previous reviews about this hotel. It was so average and low-key, there really isn't much to write about and I'm usually one to write quite extensive reviews. On the other hand, there isn't anything that requires major complaining either. Basically, this is your... more

My husband and I recently visited Lisbon and Madrid and stayed at the Princesa. Before booking the trip, I could not comprehend why a five star hotel had such low ratings on Travelocity. The hotel is a beautiful, modern hotel, however, the service is very lacking in my opinion. Little things often make a lasting impressions...We asked for washcloths several... more

The hotel was just okay. The rooms were clean and modern, yet very small. One of our rooms was a triple room, which was the same size as the double room but had an extra bed crammed in it (and cost an extra £60 a night more than the double). The wardrobe space was minimal, and if staying more than... more

The bedroom was lush. I particularly like the fancy lights under the tops of the tables. You could set it to what colour you like. The bed was massive and really comfy, and the bathroom was lovely too. more

We (Mrs and I) went to Madrid for a weekend break. We have stayed in a number of 5* hotels over the last few years and were not disappointed with the Melia. The Melia is located just off the Gran Via in Madrid with very easy access to the Metro. The Metro stop Ventura Rodriguez is literally on your doorstep... more

Smallish standard rooms at 25 sqm. (Not as small as some hotels I've stayed in in New York City, though.) I could move around but not much. I like the motion sensor that turns on the light in closet as well as those that turn on the lights in the hallways. The bathroom was fine. The two double sinks, the... more
