My colleagues and me stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. It has a central location, it's great to visit the city, to shop, and go out at night. You can walk to the most places in the center or if you prefer it's very easy and cheap to go somewhere by subway. It's good if you are idependent from... more

You can not beat the location of the hotel. its right next to the Gran Via street which is the main street that takes you everywhere in Madrid. There are 2 different subway stations located close to the hotel. Its a small place, dont expect any luxuries to it. When I checked in the guy @ the desk was nice... more

This is the first time that I have returned from a trip and felt like I needed to write a review. I have been traveling around Europe for about 4 months now and I have yet to get bed bugs until this trip. I must say, the location is absolutely amazing and the price was right. However, the bed bugs... more

I cannot believe that this hotel was recommended by the Lonely Planet guide. I am so very disappointed. On arrival we were given a twin room. We asked for a double and were told to come back to reception the following morning at 10am. At 10am we were told we had to wait for the director and to come back... more

We are just married, and we have been travelling through interior Spain by train. The longest stop was at Madrid, because the cultural offer and no-crowded actractions in august (this was not really true). We were looking for a well located hotel and this one was the ellected one because the good price... We were lucky. Rooms and facilities are... more

I was a little apprehensive to say the least about my stay at anaco as i had read reviews and whilst generally good there were some bad ones. However i was pleasantly surprised. It is a somewhat quirky hotel in terms of decor (lots of wood panelling and 70's extras) but the rooms were clean and the staff were really... more

What a horrible place! Dark, dirty, broken furniture, unclean bathroom, constant smell of smoke everywhere (if that was a non-smoking room, than why are there two astrays on the "table"). The hotel is situated close to the Grand Via Metro station - yes, but in order to get to the hotel, you must walk thro dark alley with prostitutes standing... more

This is our second trip to Madrid and a return to Anaco. You cannot find a better location - 200 meters from Gran Via Metro stop (and a McDonald's - if you're into that sort of thing), a short walk to Puerto del Sol, a block from Grand Via and some of the best shopping in the world. The adjacent... more

It's nice hotel in good price, rooms are clean, air condition is very good, location is excellent! just few meters from gran via underground station. of course it's not luxury hotel, typical ***, but it's ideal for few days in Madrid. I booked my stay by hostelworld.com and i really advise it! more

One advantage of the Anaco is the bar. It's not the usual "cocktail" bar but a typical (i.e. slightly scruffy) Madrid tapas bar much frequented by locals so it's a great place to observe or take part in Madrid bar life without even leaving your hotel. Prices are ridiculously cheap compared with UK. They do six different breakfasts that range... more
