I was booked in to this hotel by the work travel department and accepted because it was near the Madrid office. However although it may have been about a mile as the crow flies it was about 5 miles by car. The hotel is basic, but OK, it was clean, but in a freezing ( -3 ) Madrid it was cold as the hotel was obviously designed for hot summers.
The floors are laminate, or tiles in the bathroom, which is good for keeping clean, but cold and noisy ( I could hear people in the next room, and the room above, moving very clearly ).
The hotel is on a dual carriageway behind a 'Repsol' petrol station. If you do not have a car it is difficult to get to and from ( walking along an unlit dual carriageway in freezing fog did not appeal ), and the restaurant is accross the car park closer to the petrol staton. The restaurant is good, but like most Spanish establishments does not 'open' until 9 p.m. and there is only a vending machine in the hotel selling chocolate or crisps as...
