Asked for a quiet room and were allocated one in interior of hotel. Beautifully appointed, modern, spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean. Reception staff excellent (in particular David Perez). First rate location for museums, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, and other attractions. Did not eat in hotel as good value breakfasts available locally. We stayed a tryp atocha from 12th June 09 until 15ht June 2009.The hotel staff were warm and friendly throughout and there is usually an english speaking person on rfeception at all times (which is rare for madrid).
