At very low rates (60 to 80 E each night), it's a GREAT deal. Very well located 2 blocks away from the Metro, 4 blocks away from Plaza Mayor). Very good room and bathroom. Hotel Ganivet was a functional hotel, well placed to see the sights of Madrid. It has a cafe area which we found to be most convienient but the hotel itself is a little characterless. Fine for a couple of days sightseeing. more

The Ganivet was a nice, modern hotel with helpful staff but the noise from the street was bad and when we arrived we could hear the man in the room next door snoring from the corridor. more
