Hostal Mirentxu is a reasonable value - about what you would expect from a hostal. Beds and pillows were a little uncomfortable and the place was had a very small sign which is only visible from one direction. The Sevilla subway is only a couple blocks away. Location is great - only a couple blocks from the subway, the Plaza... more

Fairly speaking, the location is not bad (although they didn't give clear direction from their web). I was kind of happy with it but unforturnately it didn't last to the end. In addition, they didn't speak much English, and they didn't smile much neither. Therefore, ok for sleeping but don't expect much from it, in case you get disappointed. By... more

At the heart of Madrid, near local plazas, a metro station entrance, and Museo Del Prado. Perfect for those who need a place to sleep and plan to spend most of their time out and about. Very clean. Wonderful service, and very friendly people. more

Had stayed here before and booked two nights through Booking.com, only to discover we needed one more. No problem at all adding a night. The location can't be beat! There were all kinds of economic stimulus projects going on down below, but not one bit of racket disturbed our rest. What did was the heat and I was assured that... more

Great location, clean and tidy hostal. The only downside is that in the summer Madrid is roasting, and the hostal doesn't have any fans or aircon which can make it fairly difficult to sleep. Otherwise highly recommend it. more

When I arrived at the hotel, I was offered a tiny room without a window! I had to look for another hotel. The shared bathroom was awfull. more

I am not one to review, but having finished up my stay at these types of hostels (still have two cities left but I will be staying at hotels and with friends), I wanted to give credit where credit is due. This was number 4 of the six places I stayed. Basic place. The couple who own-run the place are... more

We've stayed at Hostal Mirentxu for a weekend (May 1st - 3rd) and I really can't complain about anything! The landlady is kind and patient, the halls and the building are so typical and elegant at the same time! The hostal is colourful and our room (we were given a triple paid as a double!) was large, clean, comfy and... more

I stayed in the hostal for 4 nights in a single room with shared bathroom. The room was small, but spotless. They cleaned it every day and provided fresh towels on a daily basis. The neighbourhood is quite noisy, also at night, but that's just part of the charm of this energetic city and it ddn't kept me from sleeping... more

The location is really close to everything that you would want to see, the Prado, Opera, Sol, Plaza Mayor, La Latina. You can really walk anywhere. Even the "hipster-y" district north of Gran Via was walkable. We had a private room for two. It had a sink and small shower. It was very clean, towels provided. Very friendly staff. Do... more
