Our room had a balcony overlooking a pedestrian street that fit 3 of us comfortably. The staff was great. They held our bags when we checked out for 6 hours at no charge. They recomended a restaurant that was very local and authentic and off the tourist trail. There is a night club accross the street that lets aout around... more

Overall, a decent hotel in a convenient, but dicey, part of Madrid. We were only staying one night on the way home from a beautiful trip to Sevilla. The hotel was okay -- nothing special. The bathrooms are ridiculous -- be forwarned that the the bathroom doors are glass, and the frosting is incomplete. The showers are also glass, so... more

I was in Madrid for 2 days and this hotel is excellent for a short stay. It is in the middle of madrid and near the plaza del sol and very close to the metro stations, not that you really need to use it much because many of the popular attractions are within walking distance including the Spanish royal palace... more

just returned from 3 night stay in the High Tech Petit Palace, location is excellent, staff were friendly rooms were clean but very small, the window in our room was a velux therefore we could not see out the window and had no view. The shower was excellent although the glass door into the bathroom was clear glass. I think... more

The best thing going for this hotel is the location, within walking distance of everything you would wish to visit in Madrid. The downsides are the reception staff ( don´t even expect a hola on arrival or the rest of your stay! ) Also don´t book a room unless you are an exhibitionist! For some reason there is a window... more

The property is ideally located near the Plaza Mayor, Plaza del Sol, and the Red Line Metro. It is on a pedistrian walk street and is truly a great central location. The hotel has been recently renovated and is above average overall for a 3 star property. However: there is a HUGE difference in actual rooms. Ours was a "executive/computer"... more

Really impressed with this hotel, great location, just a few minutes from Plaza Mayor. Rooms were modern and clean, whilst still keep old characteristics in the hotel. Great shower/bathroom, the only strange thing was the glass panel in the bathroom door which meant you could see straight through, easily sorted with a large blanket from the wardrobe! Breakfast was extra... more

In central Madrid just a minute from the Plaza Mayor. The hotel rooms were modern, spacious and cool. The character of the old hotel still remains in the staircase and the lift. The staff were friendly and the location excellent. more

A great location, comfortable hotel with great showers. The hotel however overcharged us for 2 nights and despite various emails do not want anything to do with refunding these charges. Because of this, I would strongly avoid dealing with them again. more

Petit Palace on Arenal is in a very good location, even more so because the Calle Arenal was made into a pedestrian street last year. It is a very good shopping street. The rooms on the front have a view of the street and a small balcony. Rooms are in a modern style but pretty small, as is the tiny... more
