Boojed this hotel after reading review in guidebook.
Frankly dissapointed.
Quiet area near upmarket shops, 10 min walk to museums, near metro.
Room grubby, tiles missing in bathroom, tired appearance.
Breakfast mediocre.
Definitely would not go back.
Pick somewhere more central and better!

Everything about this hotel is great--the location (quiet, in an attractive neighborhood, close to the museums, the center of Madrid, and good restaurants); the room (large and charming); the staff; and the breakfast. We stayed there for six nights in April and May and will return there in the Spring of 2010 for five nights.

This was our second time staying here and we always choose this hotel in Madrid. It is close to our relatives there, has a suite that is large enough to have our entire family (4) and has a great breakfast.
From a safety standpoint, you can't feel safer. It is close to an embassy and the guardia civil are ALWAYS...

If you want a quiet, pleasant stay in Madrid with a minimum of fuss this is a great choice.
