Stayed in a family room and it was perfect for our needs. The hotel is quiet, not smoky and close to a Metro stop. Try to get the duplex room if you are traveling with kids. The staff isn't too friendly or helpful but the rooms were clean, the internet free and a good night's sleep is easy. On the... more

Stayed here while taking a week's worth of language classes at Elemadrid (great, small, friendly language school within walking distance of this hotel. Would definitely recommend.) Hotel's rooms were small, but clean, sleek and modern. Staff was very chic, but friendly and very patient as I stumbled through just-learned Spanish. The food was excellent, but very very expensive (and I... more

My boyfriend booked this hotel for us when visiting a friend living in Madrid. (Conveniently, the English language school is opposite!) Lobby and stairwell very nice, and had a very pleasant, decently sized room on the first floor. This was overlooking the main road, but very little noise. Room itself had laptop with internet (little too useful when boyfriend wants... more

My family and I stayed at the PPE for 4 days (Nov. 19-23). The hotel was in a great location, near all major sites and shopping. We stayed in two hotel rooms. The rooms were clean and basic (Think IKEA). Each room had a laptop with internet access which was very convenient. I agree with the previous review regarding the... more

Stylishly decorated hotel, small standard rooms but we got a good rate online with Opodo. Laptop in room is good but is squeezed onto the tiny table so if you wanted to do some serious work it wouldn't be very comfortable. Its very quiet, no noise of traffic, lifts or people in rooms - except for people in the corridor... more

OK value for Madrid but with all the typical mistakes of Spanish hotels. No kettle to boil water in rooms, incomprehensible electrical gadgets (the aircon was probably ok but I couldnt work it out), little piles of dirt in the corners of bathrooms, abrupt receptionists with limited english who think you are trying to insult them when you are just... more

We stayed at the Petit Palace Embassy for 4 nights in late September with our 6- and 1 1/2- year old children. Location is great: easy walking to major sites, great shopping just down the street, and lots of Madrilenos to observe since it is in a residential neighborhood (albeit pretentious wealthy ones). And for those who can only take... more

We stopped at the Petit Palace for 5 nights in September and the hotel was excellent, clean rooms, free broadband internet access (theres a hotel laptop in each room, so you don´t have to mess about trying to connect your own PC to the network) and very close to the Metro. Being on one of the major roads into central... more

My 13 year old son and I spent two nights at this hotel in late August. Honestly I booked it for its low price and had no expectations. I was shocked at how terrific this hotel was! The room was exceptional, lovely high-tech bathroom, great furnishings and the high point--the lap top with internet access. Traveling with a 13 year... more

Stayed in this Hotel 1 August 06. A big mistake. The Hotel bar and restaurant were closed and no room service. This information was placed on a small notice in the lift - no mention of this on arrival or at booking. I was informed on checking in that the airconditioning was also not working fully..so with temperature hovering at... more
