After having Orbitz cancel our reservations on us the week we were leaving for spain at our first choice hotel, I scrambled to find a decent hotel in Madrid for last minute. We found the Husa Paseo del Arte at a decent price including breakfast. I found the hotel very pleasant with a nice sized room and bathroom. The breakfast... more

While its location is ok (on Atocha, walking distance from Plaza Mayor and close to the musea and buzy Huertas neighbourhood), the hotel itself does not offer any particular thrills. The lobby and bar are the same as in any other hotel and staff at recepetion is not particularly attentive neither. Our room was exceptionally small, but however nicely decorated... more

The Husa’s main attraction is its convenient location, a short walk from the Prado, Retiro Park and the Atocha Renfe (train) station. Walking in the other direction leads to most of historic Madrid, though central city is more spread out than the tourist maps suggest. For some sights, especially if you’ll first be walking around there (such as the Royal... more

DH and I spent 5 nights there during our visit to Madrid. The hotel is just 2 blocks away from the Atocha train station and 1 block away from the metro which makes getting around very easy, and particularly great if you plan to take day trips to near by cities like Avila, Toledo etc via the train. From the... more

We chose this hotel for its location near the major museums and galleries and were not disappointed. Unexpectedly, it was also near an excellent area for bars and tapas places (the Huertas) and another interesting local area with lots of interest (Lavapies). As for the hotel itself, it's sleek and modern with comfortable rooms and a decent bar/restaurant. People on... more

We spent 4 nights at the Paseo del Arte, really quiet, with very clean rooms. Great value for money. It was about £370.00 inc. breakfast... I do recommend you search long and hard for a good price on the web as the prices do vary. Location is great for museums, and 2 minutes walk to metro (this is really cheap,... more

The location can't be beat right next to the museums and Retiro Park. The hotel was modern, clean and the staff was helpful and efficient. The only downside was the nightclub next door which opened at 10 p.m. and on weekends there were crowds of people outside the hotel singing loudly at 5 a.m. when the club closed. This noise... more

That's the place. The location is unmatchble. In a two blocks waliking distance you can go to: Atocha Station, Reina Sofia Museum (which has the Picasso's Guernica), Jardin Botánico and Thyssen-Bornemyzza Museum. Nearby there is also the Retiro Park, the Plaza Mayor and the Gran Via. The room was very nice and clean, with a great bath. The breakfast is... more

I arrived at the Paseo del Arte after a very long train trip and the Husa "just at the corner " when I got off the train, was a great surprise. Welcome by the reception was fantastic, room comtemporary AND warm (fabulous materials - draperies), huge terrasse well located. The best hotel room I got in Madrid so far for... more

We really enjoyed this hotel, the location was great, the rooms very nicely done and the breakfast buffet was wonderful. The hotel is modern and very clean. We loved being able to walk everywhere from this location and the main train station was so close we were able to walk there to catch our train to Barcelona. We were tourists... more
