Having stayed at many hostels throughout Europe, the Pop Hostel in Madrid is defiantly the worst I have ever stayed in. We did not have high expectations but it was worse than we had expected. When we got to our room (2 single bed, ensuite) the rooms looked dirty and dull. There was no bedding (they told us there would be... More

Do not be put off by the entrance to this hostel, which seems a bit dodgy - it's above a fish sellers so the hallway has a 'certain' smell; it's dark and shabby to say the least. When you arrive in the hostel you receive a really friendly welcome. This was the second time I'd stayed, and even though it... More

This cheap hostel up North of Puerto Del Sol was my accommodation for the 1st 3 nights in Madrid. My girlfriend and I stayed in the double ensuite room. The location of the hostel is quite decent, with just a 10-15 min downslope walk to Sol. The hostel itself is quite cramped, stuffy and badly in need of a bigger... More

I have been there with a friend for 3 days in January, visiting Madrid. Actually it was the cheapest place during that time, so we decided to share a 6 bed room with other people. This was awsome as we got to know other people from different countries, as well. The hostel is located only 15 minutes from Sol by... More

I went to this Hostel in December 2006 and i stay for the 'First of the Year of 2007', I have a good memory of this place, was very clean, good bathroom, nice rooms, and I knew a lot of people from around the world. Obviously is a Hostel, the price is cheap, and you don't have a 5 stars... More

I booked this hostel based upon its funky website, pics of the TV room and reviews on this website. Well, apart from the big TV, the hostel is disappointing! The location is great if you want to spend a lot of night outs in Madrid, decent if you want to do site seeing. The problem is that the hostel is... More

We stayed in Pop Hostel for 3 nights in Sept 2009. We found the place rather quickly as it was just 5 minutes away from the Metro station. My first impression of the place was that it seemed to be situated in a rather dodgy area of Madrid - walls were heavily graffitied and there was a strong smell of... More

Pophostel in Madrid is without doubt the best hostel I ever stayed in. The staff is extremely friendly and you immediately feel at home. The rooms are comfortable and have their own bathroom. The hostel is located in the center of Madrid, ideal for young people travelling around. I'd recommend this hostel to everyone!

Myself and a few mates travelled to Madrid in April for a 30th birthday party. We chose pop hostel as we had stayed here before and knew it was a safe bet. It exceeded our expectations though, far better than we had remembered. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, they even organised the restaurant for us for the 30th... More

My friends and I stayed here for 1 night. The hostel is located near the Tribunal metro stop. There's a bit of 'twist and turn' before you reach the hostel. You have to walk up the stairs (no elevator). First thing poped into my mind entering that hostel - drug dealing place (by the look of it), that's just a... More
