We have stayed in Montemar in September. The montemar hotel is very typically spanish. we got it at a very good price £88 each for 4 nights half board from 1st july 08 to 5th july 08. which in my honest opinion was incredibly cheap. We spent 2 weeks at the Montemar , in Benidorm, and i have to say the hotel is really good. The views of the beach from the balconies were superb, the staff was friendly and very helpful, food was gorgeous , a mixture of local and international, the rooms were modern, clean and had all mod cons. give this hotel a body swerve !!! the food is disgusting, the staff surly and totally disinterested in anything you say, and as for the manager, well the scarlet pimpernel would be easier to find!! rooms are ok, but cleaners a bit slap dash , and sunbeds are fine if you like playing at sardines, as they are so close... more
