Well positioned to visit both the old town and the new sights. Easy pleasant walking distance to most places of interest. Modern clean quiet hotel. Could not fault the hotel and staff. Did not use the bar or restaurant, but the breakfast was fantastic. The fresh orange juice machine was a work of engineering marvel. Worth having another glass just... more

Stayed at the Melia Palace, Valencia for two nights in September 2008 - my first visit to the city. The hotel proved to be the ideal base - about 10 minutes walk from a metro station (alameda station) and about 15 minutes walk to either the old town or new City of Arts and Sciences. Getting from the airport to... more

In August 2008 I spent 7 nights at the Melia Valencia Palace. Check In was quick, non fussy, the receptionist nice. I stayed in a big, modern double room, which was simply a delight. In between the room and the corridor was a second door. It provided additional privacy, made the room very quiet. The marble bathroom was quite spacious... more

A last moment booking and didn't know what to expect. A great 4 night break. Hotel staff were excellent, helpful and friendly nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. The room and bathroom were 1st class and room service prompt, if not a little pricey, but hey what do you expect the hotel is upmarket. The breakfast service... more

Stayed for three nights at the Valencia Palace and booked through SolMelia.com. Hotel is in a good location opposite the old town with good views along the old Turia river bed. Check in was quick, polite and efficient. Room was very good, clean and with two doors between the bedroom and corridor, it was very quiet. Marble bathroom was large,... more

We stayed in the Melia Valencia Palace for three nights, and I was thrilled with the hotel. As it was a holiday weekend, it seems we paid more than other reviewers here (150 euro a night), but it was well worth it. It is only a short walk over the bridge to the city, and it is all very safe.... more

Spent two nights here over Easter and were not satisfied. The Meliá chain should take note and check up on its franchisors as it appears that the management of this hotel is its achilles heel. Cleaning maids were very nice and greeted us every time we passed them in the corridor (as we greeted them) but everyone else portrayed an... more

This is a perfectly fine hotel from which to base your sightseeing in Valencia. We spent 3 nights here in August. The old town is a bit of a walk - although a very pleasant one - 30-45 mins (depending on your pace) along the Turia gardens to the Mercado Central. However, it is a very manageable walk to both... more

Location good, short walk across the bridge to the main shopping thoroughfare, 10 minute stroll to Mastella Stadium for the football and very safe and well lit up loaction for walking about at night. Facilities are excellent, smallish bar area downstairs but plenty of overflow space in massive reception/foyer area, rooms all mod cons and mini bars, complimentary toiletries etc.... more
