I actually liked the hotel, that has a lot of character. Location could not be better, and the room was great. I did not give the hotel a further star for the following two reasons: (a) poor breakfast selection; and (b) the owner blatantly tried to rip me off on a telephone call to Naples. more

If you want the experience on staying in a family run Pensione then the Lidomare is for you. It may not have the 5 star rooms or facilities of the luxery hotels in Amalfi but it has bags of character and charm. Like other reviews posted about this hotel it is worth investing a little time beforehand in getting a sea-view room as the others that we saw in passing looked comfortable albeit a little poky.
